Lyrebird Tongue processes text only to provide translations requested while you type. We do not sell personal information or use translated text for advertising.
The extension may process text entered into an editable field after it detects supported non-Latin characters. Depending on the provider selected by the user, that text is sent to Google Translate, the selected AI provider, or a custom endpoint configured by the user.
Preferences, translation cache entries, usage counters, custom provider settings, and optional API credentials are stored locally using browser extension storage. API credentials are sent only to the provider selected by the user.
If the user chooses to connect a premium account, the extension sends the supplied identifier and password to credits.techidaily.com for authentication. The returned session token and account balance information are stored locally. The password is not retained by the extension.
The extension requests access to websites so it can detect supported text entry fields and display translation choices next to the field. It does not collect browsing history, page content unrelated to the active editable field, or data from password and payment-card fields.
Local data remains until the user clears extension storage or removes the extension. Signing out removes the locally stored premium session token. Translation providers may retain requests under their own policies; users should review the policy of the provider they select.
The extension does not execute remotely hosted code. We disclose data only to the service selected by the user as necessary to provide translation or authentication, or when legally required.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The extension is not directed to children under 13. Material policy changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
