Overview

ReverseWorldGo ("we", "our", "the app") is built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

Data We Collect

Account data: Email address (for account creation and support), display name.

Voice recordings: Audio captured only when you tap the record button in the Voice feature. Recordings are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to back them up.

Journal entries: Text and metadata you create in the app. Stored on-device by default; cloud sync is opt-in only.

Usage analytics: Anonymous event counts (e.g., "translation requested") for app improvement. No personally identifiable information is included.

Permissions We Request

• Microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription): Used ONLY when you tap record in the Voice feature. Example use case: "Record voice memos to reverse-translate your thoughts and save them to your private journal." Audio is never uploaded without your explicit action.
• Notifications: Optional reminders for journaling. You can disable anytime in iOS Settings.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide core app functionality (translation, journaling, voice memos)
• To respond to your support requests when you contact us
• To improve app stability and features (anonymous analytics only)
• We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT share your data with advertisers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Apple StoreKit: For subscription management. Apple handles all payment data; we never see your credit card.
• Apple iCloud (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your journal entries are encrypted and stored via your personal iCloud account.

Advertising

The free version of ReverseWorldGo displays ads. The Premium subscription removes all ads. We do not use cross-app tracking. We do not collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).

Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of all data we have about you.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
• Export: Export all your journal entries as plain text or JSON.
• Opt-out: Disable analytics, notifications, or iCloud sync in Profile → Settings.

Children's Privacy

ReverseWorldGo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately for deletion.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Data at rest on our servers uses AES-256 encryption. We conduct regular security audits and follow industry best practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and email (if you've provided one). The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
